Had engineer visit 2nd April 2021. Told me issues with my dishwasher and it was cheaper to buy another. Same engineer contacted me couple of days later to offer a new dishwasher he could get and fit for me. Agreed and sent money for it. You guessed it no dishwasher and hasn't refunded my money. My experience is the firm employ con artists. Just wish I'd read the reviews before hand. If I could give 0 stars I would. Premium rate phone numbers and they don't reply to emails. Turns out the company was dissolved on the 21st April 21.

Very very disappointed in the service supplied. I contacted a local company In Sutton Coldfield found via google but was directed to this company in Southampton. I have a top of the range AEG washing machine, a few weeks out of warranty. The engineer arrived promptly but advised that he thought a power board and control board were required, but could not be sure that it would fix the problem - water coming from the dispenser drawer. I spoke to Marchwood Head office who said the parts would cost well over £200 and they were non refundable and could not guarantee they would fix the problem. I had a second The following day from a great honest local repair man who came out and fixed the problem - a £10 hose that had a nick in it simply needed replacing. I advised Marchwood that I would be posting a complaint giving them the opportunity to refund my call our fee of around £80 for the dishonest service received. They chose to ignore me. Do not use this company.

WARNING!!! This company is run by a person called Richard FEENEY based in Bournemouth who uses Google to pop up as a local company when you do a Google search for an appliance repair. You call the number and once you agree for an engineer to come out, it’s all downhill from there! The engineer has no intention of repairing the work on the first visit. The engineer takes a call out charge of £81.60 and then states he will need to order parts with a quote being emailed later. This company then takes your money upfront and at no point do they say the parts are non-refundable!! They will say the parts are in stock and will take 3-5 working days. After 5 working days pass by I call up the company to be told the parts have arrived and an engineer booked in. An hour later, the company call back to say one of the parts has not arrived. Having read the negative reviews and being misinformed, I requested to cancel the whole job as I knew this was going to become complicated and stressful. The person over the phone states the parts are non-refundable!! These are microwave parts! They have refused to return my money back, charging me for 2 microwave parts, re-visit labour and VAT, even though the parts are not in there possession yet and the engineer has not revisited my property! I have contacted Citizens Advice Bureau and advised to send them a letter advising of cancellation under Consumer Contracts Regulation 2013, where I have 14 days to cancel. They have ignored this and keep insisting the parts will arrive within another 7 working days! Again, I’m explaining I do not want any work done by them and still refusing to return my money back. There is no manager to speak to when you ask. I am now having to go through the small claims court procedure. It’s a disgrace how they are allowed to continue to operate and steal peoples money! Please Please do not contact this company, you will regret it! A big lesson learnt by me!

*****BEWARE!!!!***** Returning home I found my wife talking to the Marchwood 'engineer' who was sitting on the floor in our kitchen pouring water from our kettle into a hole on our fridge. He sat there fiddling around not doing much for 40 minutes reassuring us that this *would* fix our problem. Alarm bells started to ring.
As I feared, within a few hours his so-called repair had failed to fix the fault. So we called Marchwood back. The same engineer returned a few days later. I answered the door this time and explained his repair had not worked. He opened the fridge door and said, "It's broken. Can't be repaired. Must be something else. There is no frost on the back of the fridge." Then, very promptly made for our front door. Refusing to answer questions.
The scam here is that your first visit is guaranteed and costs about a £100. My wife settled the bill with the understanding if the engineer's repair did not work, he would come back and fix it for free.
As I suspected, when he came back he had absolutely no intention of trying to repair the fridge. Stating it was a completely new fault. Same problem with not reaching low temperature, different fault? Doesn't that seem strange to you? What an absolute load of codswallop. It was as if he had somewhere else to go that was more important. He couldn't get out of our house fast enough. If he was here for five minutes, I'd be surprised.
On calling up to complain, I explained we still had a broken fridge that I wanted to be properly repaired by an engineer who knew what he was doing. And that, secondly, I wanted to lodge a complaint. The call agent on the other end of the telephone put the phone down on me. Apparently, she had had enough of talking to aggrieved customers who felt ripped-off by her company. Makes you wonder what the staff-turnover must be.
When I called back I was told there were no managers or supervisors available in the whole business to talk to. But that they would have 'Amber', the supervisor, call me on her return from lunch. That was a week ago.
Oh, and to add insult to injury, my wife received an emailed quote last night for the 'next' repair of almost £300. What happens to their guaranteed workmanship, I wonder.
As stated by consumers elsewhere on these reviews, this is a blatant scam. Just be careful with your money. We wasted ours.
Our next port of call will be Trading Standards.
Beware.

Do not use this company, it is a scam.
They come to your house miss diagnose the fault, after searching for the reason on the internet. I was told it was first the pump, then water pressure and then the motherboard, it was none of these. Charge you £81 saying that you will receive a quote for the repair within 48 hours, the quote never materialised and then refuse to refund when you point out that they neither correctly identified the problem or quoted for a repair. What a joke.
Trading standards are on the case. You will see these scam artists on Rogue Traders soon I’m sure.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Engineer was ok but office/customer support is appalling. I wanted to support a local business but I have now been without a dishwasher since May. When they finally fixed the initial fault (after multiple phone calls to chase the part which should have been in a few days), another part snapped. That was nearly 2 weeks ago. I chased them again today and get the story that the part has been sent to the engineer's home and he's on holiday!!!! Customer service is laughable.

THIS IS A SCAM read on to see how it works... you google for a local engineer for you appliance to be repaired. They appear at the top of the search engine. After agreeing a time, the "engineer" turns up and does the diagnosis... max 5 minutes, inevitably they don't do any work or have the parts which they say will be quoted for soon. You then pay for the call out fee £81 pounds by visa. If you are then stupid enough to go with the quote for the parts you have to pay for these up front before the engineer is booked. Having parted with the cash, the engineer never arrives. You contact Marchwood, the phone is never answered. You contact visa, but they can't challenge the bills because their regulations do not permit a challenge for a call out fee. I have given the details to the police fraud department and visa fraud to inform them of the nature of the scam. The scam works because visa will not challenge a call out fee. I have had to change my visa card since its data has been given to a company which operates from a loophole in the credit card security.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Words can barely describe how dreadful this company is. Lies told about the cost saying it’s a one off cost and spares will be carried by the engineer but this doesn’t happen as the engineer says he needs to return incurring a second call out fee. Told us that our dishwasher needed a new pump and sump gasket. My husband managed to repair the machine himself, he removed a small piece of plastic wire lodged in the pump, replaced the gasket at a cost of £14 with next day delivery. Marchwood wanted £189.92 plus the £93.60 already paid for initial call out and offering up to twelve week wait. I could have had a brand new machine straight away for the money they wanted!
Beware of any of the favourable reviews on here. One such is penned by Amber Powell, that’s the name of the person I spoke to at Marchwood to complain. A coincidence, I think not!
I’m taking my complaint to a higher level and urge others to do the same.

We needed a repair to our oven. They were able to carry out the work whereas others couldn't because the hob is gas. I arranged an appointment but they rang a few days before to offer an earlier appointment which suited us. On the day the technician telephoned in advance and turned up at the estimated time. He quickly diagnosed the fault, had the required part and we agreed a price for the repair. The work was completed quickly.

Do not use this company. Absolutely scam. Quoted £65 for a call out then proceeded to charge £81 as they failed to mention VAT was not included. Person came to view the washing machine and diagnosed the problem was told I would receive a call the same day with a quote for the part, no luck. One day went by and still no call back, had to chase them. When finally able to speak to someone who was able to help they informed me that I had to wait until they had enough orders to get the parts which could take up to 10 days. I then world have to wait until they had a person free to fix the part which could take over two weeks, I had already been waiting one week for someone to come and see the machine, so at the very earliest would have had to wait a total of nearly 4 weeks for a simple part. I have been left with an £81 bill and nothing to show for it.
