Probably the best butcher shop in the South, excellent quality at realistic prices, with great customer service,highly recommend...somewhat bizarre bad reviews, jealous competition maybe.....

Asked for chopped turkey and guy mentioned he’s never heard of it. Butchers cut meat do they not?

What a great traditional friendly shop! On holiday, called in great looking meat and nice friendly chat. Bought some beef & lamb plus a pork pie ( which lasted 30 seconds, was nice,.) We didnt cook the meat yet, but expect it to be as good as it looks. Shame we dont live local.

Excellent butchers, their produce is absolutely first class. Everything we have purchased here has been amazing both in quality and flavour. A wonderful selection, their sausages unbeatable. I wouldn't shop any where else for their meats.

I agree with Emma Brooks, they treat locals different to others. As I was standing there at the counter with only myself and one other waiting to be served. two of the staff looked at me and did not acknowledge me. A regular came in and both jumped and greeted and served him instantly. As I bought to their attention I was next to be served and I had been ignored. Their response was "oh! thought you were being served" knowing well I hadn't and then to top it of, I was over charged £79.50 for a Turkey that should had cost £60.50. Help out local shops.......... ? Sainsburys you have my custom again.

I’ve had bacon and sausages from them and they are amazing! Bacon is thick, doesn’t shrink like supermarket bacon does and actually works out very good in price. Sausages were great, proper meaty sausages I will be back for more items soon especially the bacon. Staff were really friendly, I’m pleased to support my local butcher and business.

Bought 2 T bone steaks, they were amazing quality, perfectly aged and great flavour. Also great service and knowledge from the butcher that served us. Have had Pork Chops and Black Pudding, again amazing produce. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic meat and lots of good advice about alternative cuts for a recipe, how long the items will keep, how best to cook something. Staff are chatty and friendly and price wise, you pay for good quality meat (which often works out cheaper than the supermarket because you only buy what you need)..Also the meat doesn't shrink in cooking like some water enhanced joints that may appear cheaper but not such good value. Their lamb is amazing! You get what you pay for!
